Chaos

Do you feel like you’ve been living in chaos this past while? Uncertainty and so many changes that it can feel like your routine is always being adjusted. Pulled one way then another.
For me and for most everyone on this planet this has been true for the past 18 months. In the next 2 weeks the routine will once again change as school ends and summer break begins for my kids. This continued shake up, or chaos is necessary for growth.
Change comes in like a storm, scatters branches, leaves, and flowers. The landscape after a storm can appear new. Old pieces, or ways of being, discarded. New insights and values in tact. The opportunity in chaos is to let go of what may have been a good routine in the past but is no longer of value to you or your purpose now. It's a shake up and it can feel scary and overwhelming, almost all consuming at times. By keeping your eye on the potentiality of the chaos and a brand new opportunity arising, weathering the storm can become easier.
A year and a half ago, I was different. Through this storm my perspectives have grown and changed. I’ve changed. I am new, rising up out of the storm, stronger, more determined, more clear, more confident. I used to avoid chaos and conflict. I now see it as an opportunity to learn something new, grow, flourish and move forward. There is so much we don’t know as humans. So much we close ourselves off to--a sort of righteousness.
The truth is, we don’t know what we don’t know, so stay open and trust that there is a divine order unfolding even amidst the chaos.
